Local costmap with Laser builds partially

I am using move_base in kinetic devel and using the costmap_2d with the laser scan to build the local costmap. As can be seen in the image below, the local costmap builds only partially sometimes. Even though the laser measurements can see beyond the dimensions of the costmap ![Not building the complete map](/upfiles/15265691867020522.png) ![Certain region in middle of map missing](/upfiles/15265692214434637.png) Could someone help reach the cause of this? Why does this happen and how could it be solved?
